I am a Republican (sound)
This was the very first video the Sporkworld Team made after purchasing our camcorder. We made it with the terrible Pinnacle trial version video editing software that came with the camcorder. As a result, the movie existed (until today) only in a WMV output file with no editable project I could open in Premiere. Fortunately, the Sony Vaio Content Exporter which came with my replacement laptop (I ended up with a top-of-the-line multimedia laptop after my more modest laptop was a lemon and I fought with Sony for nine months to finally get a replacement) and QuickTime Pro came to my rescue.
I first used the context exporter to convert the video to a Windows DV AVI, which was 720 x 480 in poor quality since the original was 320 x 240. Then I used QuickTime pro to re-export the movie into QuickTime format in its original size, reducing the frame rate to reduce the file size.
I thought I was ready to post, but then I realized that the movie, made in 2004, had dated references to Ashcroft and Rumsfeld, and that it would be better to remove them. So again, the modest $30 QuickTime Pro came to my aid: I was able to cut out the offending section of the movie (not without difficulty since I needed to be precise with my cut and QT Pro uses a drag-and-drop selection area for cutting) to create a more succinct version which is appropriate for the 2008 Election season.
